National General CertificateCourse Summary
The NEBOSH National General Certificate is one of the most widely recognised health and safety qualification in the world. It is seen as the first step towards a career in health and safety and is the most requested qualification by employers. For those already working health and safety the General Certificate course will give you knowledge to underpin practical experience to help you perform better in your role. It is for managers, supervisors and staff from all types of organisations who need a broad understanding of health and safety issues.
The course covers the main legal requirements for safety in the UK, a range of workplace hazards and methods of control. The course is split into three modules each assessed seperately:
NGC 1 Management of Health and Safety
NGC 2 Controlling workplace hazards
NGC 3 Health and Safety practical application
NGC1 and NGC2 are assessed by a two hour written examination.
NGC3 is a practical assessment carried out in your own workplace. It includes carrying out a safety inspection and writing a short management report on the findings.
The course is delivered over 10 days, normally 2 x 5 day blocks.
Tutorial days will be available for revision and personal mentoring.

Duration: Ten days, 2 x 5 day blocks - 09.00 - 16.30 each day
Cost: £1500.00 per delegate inclusive of text book, NEBOSH registration and examination fees.
