UKATA Courses

Asbestos Awareness

Course Summary

The UKATA Asbestos Awareness is mandatory for anyone who has no intention of removing asbestos but works on buildings built or refurbished before the year 2000, where asbestos could be present. This course is for anyone who works with the infrastructure or services of a building and for those who supervise employees or contractors.

This is a high impact and engaging half day course with a practical approach to raise delegate awareness about the hazards from exposure to asbestos in the workplace.  The course covers the identification of asbestos containing materials, where they can be found and the procedures to be taken when discovering suspicious materials.

The course is assessed by a multiple choice written assessment.

A certificate will be issued to all delegates who achieve a pass for the course, and there is also an additional option of having ID cards issued for each delegate to carry with them should you wish. If you would like further information on this option then feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements.

This UKATA course is not appropriate for asbestos removal workers.
